synthetic catharsis and fractured nostalgia, worse than a diary, recorded as a confession.

it's funny they always tell you how fast time passes by,
you don't realize it until it's too late.

theme.1: a distant memory you wish you could go back to.

sound.1: raw, existential lyrics mix with mellow vocals, milky synthesizers, and a hypnotizing sub bass.

001_: this track explores the dreamlike nature of childhood, and missing a place that isn't the same upon re-visiting. growing up on the north shore of long island, i spent many hours playing on concrete cylinders positioned on a beach. a beach where no one ever walked by or talked to me, and have to trek down a cliff to reach. whenever something went wrong in my life, i went to the concrete cylinders. i still go there sometimes.

theme.2: your childhood bedroom.

sound.2: one big creschendo. live bass, instrumental chops, stadium drums, dizzying delays, paired with math rock guitar.

002_: it's funny... too late reflects on the room that raised me, and how i felt spending my last few months in it in early 2015. it discusses phyrical features i remember from my childhood home, and the internal conflicts i felt growing up in a house where it always felt like we were moments away from falling apart, until it eventually did.

carla grace - artist bio

Carla Grace is a multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, and singer-songwriter based in Tampa, Florida, known for her immersive, psychedelic-tinged rock. Her recent single “concrete cylinder” (May 2025) underscores her emotionally raw songwriting and sonic ambition. With a DIY approach to production and performance, Carla weaves together hypnotic rhythms, layered texture, and deeply personal storytelling. Her work continues to push the boundaries of her genre, resonating with both intimate vulnerability and bold musical exploration.

Carla Grace is a rising force in modern psychedelic and alt-rock, blending her work as a multi-instrumentalist, engineer, and songwriter into a cinematic sound rooted in tension, texture, and emotional honesty. Based in Tampa, Florida, Carla channels a lifetime of lived experience into her music — from the stark industrial landscapes of Long Island, to the creative grit of rebuilding a life from the ground up with her husband, to the symbolic return to the beach she grew up beside, a place immortalized by its massive concrete cylinders. Her 2025 single “concrete cylinder” encapsulates her artistic lens: a metaphor-driven exploration of strength, erosion, and the quiet fractures beneath a seemingly unbreakable exterior. Distinctive for her layered guitar work, hybrid electronic-organic production, and diaristic lyricism, Carla crafts songs that feel immersive, visual, and emotionally disarming. A fiercely DIY creator, Carla writes, records, and engineers her own music, shaping every detail from arrangement to atmosphere. Her work draws inspiration from the cinematic melancholia of alt-pop, the grit of post-rock, and the vulnerability of confessional songwriting, offering a sound that is at once introspective and boldly expansive. With meticulously crafted visuals, immersive short-form content, and a growing catalog that blurs genre boundaries, Carla continues to define an aesthetic uniquely her own — one built on honesty, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of artistry. As she expands her discography into WAV and Dolby Atmos formats and documents her creative journeys through Long Island and beyond, Carla Grace stands at the forefront of a new wave of independent artists shaping the future of alternative music.
